The poem speaks of a wind-battered tree whose roots are unknown. It does not name the tree Yggdrasill, so this collection does not add that identification as fact.
The finished ÓÐINN scene uses a non-graphic symbolic pose supported among branches. The figure, clothing, colour and arrangement are modern interpretations rather than a literal reconstruction of the medieval text.
